Combining Smart Investment with Environmental Stewardship

The Road To Redemption

R2R represents our statewide recycling campaign aimed at establishing a network of Recap redemption centers across Connecticut. To realize this vision, we've devised an innovative funding approach known as the Bottle-Stock Exchange Initiative (BSE). The BSE empowers our clients to partake in the profits generated by these redemption centers simply by consistently recycling their redeemable bottles and cans through our services. Here's how this dynamic investment journey unfolds:

Transforming Refunds into Investments

Each 10¢ refund will be converted into stock-value in our enterprise, creating an investment opportunity for you.

Building Redemption Centers, Together!

Your stock-values will help launch community redemption centers in Connecticut, supporting recycling and environmental sustainability.

Shared Profits, Shared Success

As an enrolled customer, your contribution entitles you to a share in redemption center profits, benefiting local communities and the state.

Making investing for impact effortless, safe and low-risk !

Turning discarded containers into a powerful investment tool, fostering cleaner neighborhoods and establishing a robust recycling infrastructure.

Your investment remains flexible. You can request a refund at any time, contributing to our shared goal while having the option to withdraw funds.

Enjoy swift refund processing, with funds typically disbursed within 48 hours of your request. (A standard 3¢ per container service charge applies to refund withdrawals, pre-redemption center opening.)

Monthly statements will be provided to help you track your accumulated refunds, ensuring transparency and confidence in your recycling and investment efforts.

FAQs

Clients will be given the option to designate a percentage of their refund to contribute each time they schedule a pickup. By choosing to contribute, clients will be automatically enrolled in the program. The selected percentage will be deducted from the total refund and deposited into the client’s general account. Quarterly statements detailing all contributions made to date will be provided to clients, along with an account summary on their refund receipts after each pickup. Refunds from the general account can be requested at any time during our funding campaign, subject to standard service charges.

The R2R campaign will last until we are able to achieve our funding goal. The time frame depends on the rate at which our client base grows, the pace at which they recycle, and the amount they wish to contribute.

Certainly. Essentially, the BSE fosters a partnership between us and our clients, offering an ‘in-house’ funding alternative without reliance on debt. This approach optimizes potential profits for our clients. To build trust and confidence, we maintain an ‘open-door’ policy, allowing clients the option to opt out of this recycling initiative without hassle. Please note that service charges will apply.”

Our first campaign goal is to raise $600,000 to open our first redemption center.

Our funding campaign marks Phase 1 of our initiative. Phase 2 entails utilizing these funds to establish the redemption center, converting funds and issuing equivalent stock-value to our clients. Throughout this phase, clients will not be able to request refunds until the redemption center is operational. Subsequently, clients can withdraw their initial contribution without incurring service charges. This limited-time offer is exclusively available to participants in our initial seed-funding round.

Yes! Only refunds from redeemable bottles will be used to fund this project. This is what makes the BSE truly innovative, in that we intend to reshape the perception of bottle redemption by transforming each redeemable container into a short/long term asset. This feature makes investing portions of your refunds low-risk, with high-upside potential.

That depends on how many bottles a client redeems through us. Also, the redemption value of your bottles depends on the redemption rates at the time of contribution. For clients who contributed before January 1, 2024, each bottle held a value of 5¢. However, after January 1, 2024, the value increased to 10¢ per bottle. Therefore, if a bottle is redeemed at the 10¢ rate, the client earns the equivalent stock-value, which is also 10¢.
